Dave Williams Dave brings to Southtrac 19+ years of experience in branded-product programs and sports & event merchandising. Many of the programs he developed and executed have leveraged major event sponsorships, including Olympic on-site VIP Guest merchandise programs at the 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2002 Games. Williams has worked extensively with sponsors and the licensing/organizing bodies of MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA, World Cup, PGA Tour, ATP, NASCAR, and many others.
Dave is very active in the community and places a high value on civic service. In 2007, he was elected the 26th Mayor of the City of Suwanee, GA, which was named the #10 Best City to Live in the U.S. by MONEY Magazine. His current term expires in December, 2011. He served 2009 President of the Gwinnett Municipal Association. In 1997, Williams was elected to Suwanee's City Council and served until 2002.
Williams served on Board of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) from 2002-07 and held numerous leadership positions, including Treasurer. He served on the Board of Kate’s Club (501-c-3) from its founding in 2002 until 2006, and was elected its Chair for 2005. Kate’s Club supports metro-Atlanta children who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. He is a 2000 graduate of Leadership Gwinnett and served on the Management Committee. He is active coaching youth football, baseball and softball.
Dave and his wife Debbie have been married for 15 years and have 2 children, Ramsey (12) and Max (10).
